Combined Delivery

Everyday hundreds if not thousands of gallons of fuel are used delivering the material that we order from suppliers in our region alone. This much fuel consumption and vehicle emissions are not doing our regions environment any favors. A large portion of this fuel consumption is caused by our need for instant gratification when it comes to getting the products that they order. It’s just human nature to want the things you order to be available to you as soon as possible.
If we step back and look at the big picture we would realize that most of the time that material could be delayed by small amounts of time and it would not make a difference to what we needed the material for. These delays could be as small as a few simple days and sometimes even up to weeks before we actually need to take delivery of our supplies. This is where General Pacific’s combined delivery program comes in.
Currently our warehouse staff ships material to customers as soon as it comes available. This could be an entire order coming available at once or it could be as small as one box of bolts out of 50 boxes ordered coming available. This kind of shipping strategy causes extra delivery trucks to be on the road and more fuel to be used.
The combined delivery program designed by General Pacific is setup to allow customers to determine if we can delay their shipments to help lower on impact on the environment. There are lots of different shipping methods General Pacific can use to lower the number of shipments going to customer facilities and therefore lowering the environmental impact on our region. The purpose of the program is to allow our customers decide whether they can change the delivery system used for their account and which system works best for them. If your company is interested in working with General Pacific to help lower our industries environmentally impact, please review the delivery methods available below and sign up for the combined delivery program today!
