To fix this issue, you will need to have administrative rights to your computer. If you do not have administrative rights you will need to find a member of your IT Department who can perform the following steps for you.

To fix the missing component registration issue:

1. Make sure that PC-Pro+ is not running
2. Open a command prompt as administrator. This is easily done by clicking the Windows Button –> Accessories –> Right click on “Command Prompt” –> click “Run as Administrator”
3. If you receive a “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?” dialog box, click yes.
4. If prompted, enter the credentials for your administrator account
5. The command prompt window should open.
6. For 32-bit version of Windows, enter the following command:
   cd c:\windows\system32
7. For 64-bit versions of Windows, enter the following command:
   cd c:\windows\syswow64
8. Enter the following command:
   regsvr32 olch2x8.ocx
9. A window should open stating “DLLRegisterServer in olch2x8.ocx succeeded”
10. Click ok.
11. Close the command prompt window.

After completing the steps above, you will be able to re-open the image file in PC-Pro+ and view the toolbox.

The Hockey Puck, a specially designed auxiliary power auto transformer, has enabled the Lake Region to connect the DRU line to line at 480 volts. Ed Jenson, VP of Engineering/Operations of Lake Region, said, “TSTM developed a Hockey Puck auto transformer that carries a larger VA rating of 3000VA which provided the DRU with adequate signaling strength.” He went on to say, “We had about 500 of these particular installations and it was imperative that we develop a solution to provide a power option for the DRU, and the Hockey Puck from TSTM was a great solution.”

The Hockey Puck transformer is designed for those applications where a larger burden capability is required. It carries a 300 VA rating and can be used to protect and power a variety of endpoints, modems, underglass transmitters and a variety of other electronic equipment. With the help of one of our customers and Itron’s support team we have found that uninstalling Microsoft Office 2010 64-bit and instead installing the 32-bit version corrects the issue. Customers are advised to run Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit if they are required to have it on the same workstation as PC-Pro+.

1) Open up a web browser and enter http://access.itron.com in the address bar.

2) Enter your username and password and click sign in.

3) Once you have successfully logged in click the Support Services icon

4) Using the left hand menu of the Support Services section, click on Product Downloads

5) Using the provided drop down menu, select the corresponding product from the list.  In this example we will be downloading PC-Pro+.

6) Once the product page loads scroll through the list until you find the download you are looking for, in this example we’re looking for version 9.70.

7) Click the icon to the left of the download to initiate the download process.

8) Save the file to the desired location on your computer.

That’s it!  Following these 8 simple steps you can download software updates, product literature and spec sheets for all Itron Products that are available to you.

1) Open up a web browser and go to http://access.itron.com

2) In the upper right hand corner, click the “Create New Account” link

3) Fill in the required information and click on the “Create Account” button at the bottom of the form.

Itron will send you a confirmation email. Follow instructions in confirmation email to complete setup of your account. Once you have completed the signup process you will be able to login and use Itron Access. Itron has recently released their newest version of PC-Pro+, version 9.70. This release contains major changes to the PC-Pro+ Advanced and Field Pro software offerings, most notably allowing them to interface with the new Centron II C12.19 residential meter.

Meter Configuration Editor

• • A new application has been added to PC-Pro+ Advanced. This application provides tools for building configuration files for the Centron II C12.19 meter.
  • The Meter Configuration Editor streamlines the creation and modification of meter configuration files.

Field Pro

The toolset in Field Pro has been modified and updated to function as the communications software for the Centron II C12.19 meter. The following features are available in Field Pro but are not currently enabled with the Centron II C12.19. These features are slated to be enabled on the Centron II C12.19 towards the end of 2011.

  • Upload to Master Station
  • Prompt for clearing billing registers. When performing a full initialization please be aware that all billing registers will be cleared.

The Centron II C12.19 meter is NOT supported in Shop-Pro 9.70, PC-Pro+ Views 9.70 or HH-Pro.

To run PC-Pro+ 9.50 you need Windows XP or Vista and the Microsoft .NET 3.5 SP1 framework package.  This download includes the .NET installation routine there is no need to download separately.
