General Pacific Hires New Energy Efficiency and Water Conservation Manager

Fairview, Oregon – May 3, 2010 – General Pacific, Inc. is pleased to announce that Roch Naleway has been hired to fill the newly designed post of Conservation Products and Services Manager. Naleway comes to General Pacific with over six years of experience in energy efficiency program development and marketing.

As General Pacific’s new conservation expert, Naleway is charged with all facets of expanding our already extensive conservation product offerings, including overall strategy and new market segments. Naleway will also be responsible for working with utilities in the region on their conservation efforts.

Naleway is a graduate of University of Maastricht in the Netherlands with a master’s degree in Business Economics – Marketing & Management. Prior to joining General Pacific, Naleway spent four years working as Portland General Electric’s Energy Efficiency Marketing Specialist.

“We are very pleased to have Roch join our team,” said Rick Hall, General Pacific’s President & CEO. “He brings with him a tremendous amount of experience and expertise that will establish yet another avenue through which we can meet our customers’ needs.”

“Conservation is a very important environmental issue,” Hall said. “We want to work closely with utilities to create or expand conservation programs for their customers,” a goal which will easily by met with Naleway’s energy efficiency and marketing experience.

2010 Open House & Vendor Fair

New Facility Pictures – 8/24/2009

There has been lots of activity at the construction site since the last update. The update on July 28th, 2009 showed the first panels being put into place. Since then all of the walls have been put into place and the first couple of layers of roofing have been put on to the building. By the end of this week all of the concrete work at the job site will be done and next week the asphalt will be complete.

Our general contractor has been doing a fantastic job on getting the whole project together and making sure things keep progressing at a regular rate. Currently they are 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule and foresee no future delays as of yet.

New Building Update – July 28 2009

Over the past couple of months there has been a lot of activity on the construction site. In June the general contractor was able to get the office and warehouse slabs built. In July they have been focusing on building the concrete panel walls for the building. As of today all of those panels are complete and they are starting the assembly process of the new facility.

Here are some of the pictures from the first couple of walls being put into place:

The above shows panel #1 in place and being braced up until the roof structure is in place.
The picture below shows panel #2 being lifted off the warehouse slab.

This last picture shows the crew guiding the 2nd panel into place on to the wall footings.

More pictures and information will be posted as the facility progresses.

Updated Building Site Information

The construction crews have been working very hard on the new facility site for the last few weeks. The site has been stripped and the crews are almost finished building the pad for the foundation. It is expected that by the end of next week they will have the concrete foundations for both the office and warehouse areas done. Here are some updated pictures to show you the progress of the development.

New Facility Ground Breaking Ceremony

General Pacific, Inc. is pleased to announce the early ground breaking of our new facility in Fairview, Oregon.

Early estimates for the facility ground breaking were slated for June 2009, however due to cooperative weather and permit issuers we were able to get an early start on the building. Over the next few days the land stripping team will start working on the site and within a couple of weeks building construction will begin.

The General Pacific, Inc team is very excited to be starting on the new facility and looks forward to its completion. The completion date of the new facility is currently expected to be in the 2nd week of December.

E&O Drawing Winners of Ipod’s and Dell Laptop

General Pacific is pleased to announce that the drawings for the E&O promotional giveaways have been completed. Over the past 2-3 months GenPac has been working hard with our users to improve our online ordering and shipping system QuickShip. As a promotion leading up to the NWPPA E&O conference, which was last week, GenPac decided to give away three 120GB Apple Ipod Classic’s. What was not announced was that we were also going to be collecting business cards at the conference to be used as a drawing for a free Dell Mini laptop.
Now the conference is over and the drawings are done. Here is a list of the winners and how they won:

General Pacific Facility Update

In early January 2009 GenPac submitted to the City of Fairview for our building permits. This process is expected to take about 3 months to complete. We are still on track for a mid May to mid June construction start date.

General Pacific purchases land for new facility

General Pacific, Inc. is please to announce that we have secured the land for our new operating facility. Our new facility will be located in Fairview, Oregon just off the I-84 corridor. Senior management has been working with the land owners for a little over a year to finalize the transaction so we can move ahead with planning and building stages of the facility project.

We will be working with the architects and permitting departments for the next few months and are eager to break ground on the new facility in June of 2009. The building stage of the project is expected to take roughly 6 months allowing General Pacific to move to the new facility in early 2010.

General Pacific employees are excited about the new facility and looking forward to all of the features that it will offer. We will be posting future updates about the new facility project as we move ahead in the future.
